XL-1180 is an encapsulated imidazole designed for one part epoxy systems where a long pot life and a fast cure are required. XL-1180 can be used as a curing agent or as an accelerator for dicyandiamide, anhydrides, DDS or other imidazoles, decreasing the cure temperature, while maintaining a long pot life. XL-1180 can be used with epoxies for surface mount adhesives and glob tops, induction cured hemming adhesives, as an accelerator for solder masks, as a curative for room temperature stable, low temperature cure, prepregs and composites as well as an accelerator for powder coatings.
